 Premium Storage for High-Precision Production

The High-End Industrial Robot Multi-Layer Storage System is a top-level storage unit for high-precision, high-speed, and unmanned dark factories. It is specially built to work with gantry robots and 6-axis industrial robots. It uses all-servo drives, smart sensors, and an optional vision system to fully automate part storage, feeding, and output.

This system is widely used for batch processing of precision hardware, auto parts, 3C electronics, and aerospace components. Compared to standard economy models, it offers much better positioning accuracy, faster response, and smarter control. Zhejiang Luban uses a Siemens PLC and Inovance servo drives for this high-end model. The main drive parts are from Japan's Shinpo, with precision racks and guides. We test every unit at our 2,450-m² factory to make sure its performance meets all design targets.

Solving the Challenges of High-End Lines

In high-precision machining, downtime means lost money, and scrap adds cost. When a basic magazine lacks accuracy, the robot may miss the pick point. That can scratch a part or cause the robot to grab nothing or hit the tray. The whole line must then stop for realignment.

The High-End Industrial Robot Multi-Layer Storage System solves this with all-servo drives and closed-loop positioning. The servo motors and reducers move the lift precisely. Every layer stops with a repeat accuracy of ±0.25 mm. The motion is smooth with no shaking or drift. The robot picks parts from the same position every time, which removes the risk of mis-picks and scratches. One precision hardware customer told us that before using this high-end system, their monthly scrap rate from mis-picks was about 3%. After installation, it dropped to under 0.2%. That saved them a large amount in material costs each year.

 How the System Works

You place parts on the trays, and the system recognises the material status of each layer. When the robot finishes a layer, the magazine switches to the next one automatically – no manual help is needed.

The control uses a Siemens S7-200 SMART PLC with a 7-inch touch screen for full automation. The lift uses two servo motors (400W and 750W) with planetary reducers (ratios 1:5 and 1:10). This gives strong power and smooth running. You can fine-tune the stop position for each layer on the touch screen, which helps fit different part sizes. You can also add a vision system. This vision system detects the presence of parts, overlapping, or misalignment. It stops the machine and alarms if it finds an error, which removes the risk of empty grabs and tray collisions.

 Built for Long, Unattended Operation

The main frame is welded from thick steel beams and stress-relieved, so it is stable and will not deform. The multi-layer trays are made of high-strength steel for precision and wear resistance. They will not deform or shake even with long-term, high-frequency lifting. The working temperature range is -10°C to 45°C, which suits all-day workshop production. The safety system is also very strong. It includes lift limits, hard limits, overload protection, layer interlocks, and emergency stops. These ensure the magazine locks when the robot takes a part, and the robot pauses when the magazine moves. This logic stops any interference or collision.
