Flexible Storage for Collaborative Robot Cells
The High-End Collaborative Robot Multi-Layer Storage System is a premium flexible storage unit made for 6-axis collaborative robots (cobots). Unlike traditional industrial robot magazines, this unit is designed from the start for a cobot's soft gripping, flexible movement, and human-robot cooperation.
Its core feature is flexible adaptation. The machine runs with soft, dampened motion and no hard jolts. You do not need a closed safety fence. Workers can walk up to it for loading and checks. Whether you do precision assembly, 3C electronics, new energy small parts, or flexible polishing, this system works perfectly with the cobot's pace. Zhejiang Luban has a lot of experience with cobot applications. Our systems work with major cobot brands like Universal Robots, FANUC, and KUKA. Each High-End Collaborative Robot Multi-Layer Storage System is tested at our factory under simulated working conditions, so you can start using it quickly after delivery.
Fixing the Pain Points of Flexible Lines
Traditional industrial robot magazines move with hard starts and stops. They need a safety fence around them, so people cannot get close. But a cobot is made to work with people. Using a standard magazine limits the cobot's flexible advantages.
The High-End Collaborative Robot Multi-Layer Storage System changes this. It uses all-servo drives, and every lift and stop has soft buffering. The operation is gentle and has no hard shocks. You can place the magazine right next to the cobot station without a fence. Your workers can walk up to it to add parts, change products, or do inspections.
Moreover, the supply logic matches the cobot's work speed perfectly. Cobots are slower but very flexible in path. The system's layer change time of 15 to 20 seconds and its high positioning accuracy keep up with the cobot's pick rate. The robot never waits for material.
How the System Works
You place parts on the trays, set the parameters, and start automatic mode. When the cobot takes the last part from a layer, the system detects the empty tray and moves the next layer into position. This requires no manual help.
The control uses a Siemens S7-200 SMART PLC with a 7-inch touch screen. The lift uses Inovance servo motors and Shinpo reducers with silent linear guides. The noise level is very low, which is perfect for clean rooms or precision assembly workshops. The system also has a full set of tray detection sensors. These detect the presence of empty trays, finished part trays, raw part trays, and empty layers. These features stop the cobot from grabbing nothing, dropping parts, or scratching workpieces. This keeps the flexible line running smoothly.
Designed for Human-Robot Cooperation
This magazine is specially made for human-robot cooperation. Its body uses a lightweight but strong frame. It is stable, has low dead weight, and is compact. You can place it on any side of the cobot station. Even two people can share one station. For safety, it has a special logic: the magazine locks when the robot grabs a part, and the robot pauses when the magazine changes layers. It also has lift limits, overload protection, infrared sensors, and an emergency stop. These features remove all safety risks from both hardware and logic.
