One Unified Gantry and Storage System
The Truss-Integrated High-Capacity Material Storage Silo is a single machine that combines a gantry robot with a multi-layer storage unit. This is very different from traditional setups where the gantry and magazine are two separate pieces. In our design, the gantry beam and the magazine frame are welded on one common base. The whole system is fully calibrated at our factory. That means you do not need to spend time on alignment when it arrives – just connect power and signals and start production.
This system is made for CNC lathes, machining centres, and mill-turn machines. It is ideal for high-precision, high-speed, and 24/7 unmanned work. It can handle parts from precision auto components to aerospace structures, and from 3C electronics to high-end hardware. Zhejiang Luban put a lot of effort into developing this product. We hold many patents, including invention patents and software copyrights. Our R&D team focuses on improving gantry-storage integration, which gives this system excellent rigidity and accuracy.
Fixing the Problems of Separate Systems
In traditional setups, the gantry and the magazine each have their own stand. They are joined at your site. The big problem is misalignment after long use. The gantry may sink a little over time, and the magazine may shift slightly. The alignment between them is lost, so the robot misses the pick point. This can scratch parts or crash into trays.
The Truss-Integrated High-Capacity Material Storage Silo stops this problem because everything is welded together. The whole machine is rigid and resists vibration. It will not deform or shift even with years of high-speed running. All coordinate calibration is done at our factory. At your site, you only need to fix the machine to the floor, connect power and signal cables, and start production. There is no on-site alignment needed.
How the Integrated System Operates
This machine uses servo motors for the gantry's X, Y, and Z axes and for the magazine lift. The gantry uses a Delta servo system with high-precision racks and linear guides for fast and accurate picking. The magazine lift also uses a servo drive, so layer changes are smooth and without shock.
You place parts on the trays and start the automatic program. The gantry takes a part from the current layer, moves to the machine door and waits. When the machine finishes a cycle and opens the door, the gantry loads the new part and removes the finished one. It then places the finished part on an empty tray. When a layer is empty, the magazine moves to the next one. This whole process is completely unmanned.
Built for Unmanned, High-Cycle Production
The frame is an integral welded structure that has been stress-relieved to make it very rigid. The gantry axes and magazine lift all use servo drives. Acceleration and deceleration are smooth but very responsive. This meets high-cycle needs while protecting parts from scratches. The system has a full set of sensors to check layer alignment and part presence. It automatically detects problems and stops with an alarm. This prevents empty grabs, tray collisions, and part crushing. That makes long, unmanned operation much more reliable.
