The Collaborative Robot Double-Layer Storage System gives your cobot a constant supply of parts. Two layers alternate feeding. When one layer is empty, the system switches to the other. The worker reloads the empty layer while the cobot keeps working. The cobot never stops for material.

One customer was doing precision assembly with six cobots. Before, each cobot had a single-layer tray next to it. A worker had to stop and reload the tray every 30 minutes. The worker was constantly running between stations. They switched to our Collaborative Robot Double-Layer Storage System. Now, two layers alternate feeding. The worker reloads every two hours instead of every 30 minutes. The cobots never stop. The worker is less stressed and more productive.

The system runs with soft, dampened motion. There is no need for a safety fence. Workers can walk up to it and reload while the cobot works. The magazine locks when the cobot is picking parts. The cobot pauses when the magazine is lifting. This is all automatic. Tray switching uses a pneumatic cylinder drive with a 6-second switch time. Positioning accuracy is ±0.25 mm. The control uses a Guangdong Gumei PLC and a 7-inch touch screen. The working temperature range is -10°C to 45°C. The system comes in three sizes.
