Safe and Flexible Robot for Precision Assembly
The 6-Axis Collaborative Arm for Assembly is a smart robot for precision assembly, human-robot collaboration, and flexible line production. Unlike traditional industrial robots, it has collision detection, flexible force control, and human-robot coexistence. It does not need a safety fence.
This robot is used for small-part pressing, part insertion, screw fastening, accessory assembly, clip assembly, and precision alignment. It is widely used in high-volume flexible assembly lines for 3C electronics, home appliances, auto parts, and precision hardware. It can work with people or run fully automatically.
Zhejiang Luban has strong experience with collaborative robot integration. Our systems work with ROKAE xMate and other major cobot brands. We complete full integration with magazines and lines. We hold many patents and our technical team can handle everything from design to on-site commissioning.
Solving Precision Assembly Problems
Precision assembly is one of the most skill-dependent jobs in manufacturing. How deep should a clip be pressed? How tight should a screw be? How accurately should two parts align? When production volume is high, these simple operations test the worker's patience and hand stability. Plastic and thin-wall parts crack or deform easily with even a small mistake.
The 6-Axis Collaborative Arm for Assembly solves these problems with precise force control and flexible buffering. It has constant force control and flexible assembly functions. It can sense assembly resistance automatically. For plastic parts, thin-wall parts, and precision small parts, it can press softly and align adaptively. This stops corner cracks, part deformation, and over-pressing. One 3C electronics customer told us that after using this robot, their precision clip assembly yield went from 88% to over 99%. Before, they had dozens of cracked plastic shells every day. Now they rarely have even one per month.
How This Robot Works
The robot uses a six-joint structure with a precision force control system. The operator uses drag teaching or hand-held programming to record the pick point, alignment point, and press point. The system records the path and force parameters automatically. During running, the robot completes picking, precise alignment, soft pressing, clip insertion, and finished part placement.
The robot has smart force sensing and collision detection. If it meets a person or obstacle during work, it slows down and stops automatically. If assembly is stuck or resistance is abnormal, it stops and releases pressure. This protects the part, fixture, and robot. The robot can use grippers, suction cups, screwdrivers, and press tools. It can handle part picking, transfer, alignment, pressing, screw fastening, inspection, and tray loading.
Built for Flexible Assembly
The body is lightweight. Running noise and vibration are low. It suits clean rooms and precision assembly workshops. It does not need a safety fence. Its footprint is small and it can be placed flexibly. It fits old line upgrades and tight assembly stations. Safety features include collision bounce-back, overload protection, limit protection, speed adaptation, and fault alarms.
