Freedom from Tracks, Tapes, and Floor Marks
Traditional AGVs are like trains. They must follow a fixed path. This path might be a track on the floor, a magnetic tape, or a series of QR codes. The AGV cannot leave this path. If the path changes, you must do construction work. You need to move the track, re-lay the tape, or re-stick the codes. This is expensive and time-consuming.
The Laser-Guided Trackless AGV has no fixed path. It does not need tracks, tapes, or codes. It uses laser navigation to find its way. But unlike SLAM AGVs, this model focuses on reliable, precise laser-based navigation in stable environments. It is the ideal choice for workshops where the layout is relatively stable but you want the freedom of trackless movement.
This AGV is perfect for factories that are tired of maintaining floor infrastructure. One automotive parts supplier in Zhejiang had over 2,000 square meters of magnetic tape on their factory floor. The tape wore out every few months. Workers had to replace it during weekends. The constant maintenance was a headache. They switched to our Laser-Guided Trackless AGV. Now they have no tape to maintain. The floor is clean. The AGV runs without any floor guidance. The maintenance team is much happier.
How the Laser-Guided Trackless AGV Works
The AGV uses a laser scanner to navigate. It scans the workshop environment. It does not rely on external markers like reflectors. It uses the natural features of the workshop – walls, machines, and pillars – to locate itself. The system processes the scan data and compares it with a stored map.
When the AGV receives a task, it plans the most efficient route. It avoids obstacles automatically. It can stop or go around if something is in its path. The AGV operates without any human intervention. It picks up material, delivers it to the destination, and returns. It can do this 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The control system supports automatic route planning, task queuing, and automatic charging. The AGV returns to the charging station when the battery is low. It charges automatically and resumes work. The system can also manage multiple AGVs working together. They communicate with each other to avoid collisions and traffic jams.
Built for Factories That Want a Clean Floor
The Laser-Guided Trackless AGV has a big advantage: a clean workshop floor. There are no tracks, tapes, or codes. Workers can walk anywhere. Forklifts can drive anywhere. There is no infrastructure to trip over or maintain. The AGV body is made of high-strength steel. It can carry up to 1000 kg. The working temperature range is -10°C to 45°C. This suits most industrial environments.
Installation is quick. You simply turn on the AGV and let it build its initial map. This takes about one hour for a typical workshop. After that, the AGV is ready to work. You can change the AGV's tasks through a simple software interface. No construction work is needed. This makes it a great choice for both new factories and existing facilities.
