Ending the CNC Supply Bottleneck
CNC workshops run at a fast pace. Yet many factories still use workers to load parts manually. One CNC machine may need dozens of parts each hour. Workers walk back and forth between the rack and the machine. This is tiring, and often the machine stops because material is not there on time.
The CNC Automated Multi-Layer Storage System solves this with multi-layer trays. It provides 5 to 10 layers, each holding 35 kg on a 600×480 mm tray. One full load keeps the machine running for hours. Workers do not have to reload often. The system changes layers automatically. When a layer is empty, the next one moves into place. This stops downtime from lack of parts. One auto parts customer told us that after using this system, they no longer needed two workers per shift for loading. Their machine operation rate rose from under 70% to over 90%.
How This CNC System Works
You put raw parts on the trays. You do not need to set any parameters. Just press one button to start automatic and continuous running. When the robot takes the last part from a layer, sensors detect the empty tray. The lift then brings the next layer to the pick position. This takes only 15 to 20 seconds, which matches the fast cycle of CNC machining.
The lift uses Inovance servo motors and Shinpo reducers with precision racks and linear guides. The repeat positioning accuracy is ±0.25 mm for every layer. This makes sure the robot picks parts from the exact same spot each time. The control uses a Siemens S7-200 SMART PLC and a Siemens HMI touch screen. This gives strong stability and good resistance to electrical noise.
Made for the Tough CNC Workshop
CNC shops have flying chips, coolant mist, and oil everywhere. Normal equipment often breaks down here. But the CNC Automated Multi-Layer Storage System is built for this. Its body uses a thick steel frame. The key drive parts have sealed protection. The racks and guides resist chips, and the servo motors resist oil. It works reliably from -10°C to 45°C. Even with high-frequency use over long hours, the failure rate is very low.
